A shift in focus...
1. Using a combination of Fitness Journal and Map My Run to track my exercise. 2. Banning certain foods from my life that just send me down a slippery slope--fast food and pizza especially 3. Weighing in at a Weight Watchers meeting. 4. Tracking food through the Weight Watchers website. 5. Working out as early in the day as possible. 6. I have to keep three things in balance in order for me to feel successful--eating, exercising, and sleeping. When all three are in balance, I do really well. When any one of the three falls off, it's not long before the other two suffer. Alright then! Off to folk some laundry...

It's one of those cliche things you'd hear on a Jenny Craig commercial or The Biggest Loser, but I do want to be able to keep up with my kid. The other thing that stresses me out about health, exercise, eating and parenting is that Teddy is going to learn about healthy relationships with food and exercise from his mom and I more than anyone else. I feel like that's really difficult given that I have no idea how to take care of myself. So for these reasons (along with achy knees and some very tight seatbelts on airplanes that past few weeks), I've decided to restart my goal of being a healthy day at a healthy weight.
I'm actually coming off a good first we
ek of focusing on my health. I ate relatively well (with a few red flag meals), exercised 3 days last week, and dropped 3.2 pounds. So, in the spirit of positive reinforcement, here's a few things that I know work well for me...
